Why Senator Daduut is qualified for FG appointment – Plateau South APC Group

Group under the aegis of Plateau South Youth Movement for Good Governance (PSYMFGG ) has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to consider the immediate past Senator for Plateau South, Nora Daduut for a federal government appointment.

Recall that a group under the auspices of APC Plateau South Compatriots had during a recent press conference accused the aforementioned Senator of underperformance during her time in the ninth assembly.

Briefing journalists in Jos the Plateau State Capital, the Conveners of the Group, Comrade Istifanus Jatau and Comrade Felix Emmanuel in collaboration with other APC support groups, highlighted the impressive performance of Senator Daduut in the ninth assembly.

The group emphasised that Daduut’s extensive leadership experience and notable achievements in serving Plateau South Senatorial zone make her a suitable and qualified personality to be in the President Tinubu led APC administration .

“We are passing a vote of confidence on distinguished Senator Nora Ladi Daduut for bringing massive development to Plateau South Senatorial District.

“Our attention has been drawn to a Press conference by a group operating under the umbrella of APC Plateau South Compatriots in which they accused our first female Senator Prof Nora Daduut of underperformance while in the 9th Senate.

“As a group we describe this allegations as false and baseless as Senator Nora Daduut invested all energies and resources in ensuring that the Senatorial District moved forward.

The group maintained that, “If one Plateau person succeeds at the National level, it is a collective pride and it is for the good of the entire State.

“One would certainly want to align with himself or herself with success, but here we are with dissidents whose empty minds talk failures rather than think and speak progress values for human development.

“The performance of Senator Nora Daduut in two and half years is an open record which enemies of progress refuse to see.

“Upon assumption of office over two years ago, Senator Nora Daduut as a seasoned administrator and teacher; immediately kicked the ball running by embarking on projects that touch on human life and development which she has documented.

“As Senator Plateau South, Daduut sponsored a bill to establish the Federal Agriculture Research Center (NAMU).

“She also called for immediate review of budgetary allocation to the National Veterinary Research Institute Vom, Plateau State, to boost the vaccine production capacity of the institute.

“Senator Daduut also called for urgent extension of new railway standard gauge from Kaduna to Jos in order to ease the transportation system in the country, among others.

She also empowered women and promoted youth development through various initiatives, like provision of grants, empowerment items (Saloon Kits, Sewing Machine, Power tilers, Tricycle (Keke Napep), Motorcycles, Grinding machines and many more).

Others include; training in skill acquisitions, (ICT, Rice farming, Fish farming among others).

Daduut in her short stay in the National Assembly, also facilitated employments of young graduates in various agencies of government.

She constructed several drainages and culverts in the Senatorial district; as well as facilitated the provision of grants for youths.

The former lawmaker also constructed of blocks of classrooms in her zone, facilitated the completion of various developmental projects, including the construction of ICT center in Namu, the access feeder road-Zanzat-Kwallak Rd.

Others include; installation of two transformers in Langtang North LGA; constructed classroom blocks in Mile 4 of Langtang South LGA as well as healthcare facilities in Shendam, Wase and Quaan Pan LGAs.

She also provided Solar street lights, constructed boreholes in Wase, Shendam, Langtang South, Mikang and Quaan Pan to improve the living standard of her constituents.

Daduut who is a global personality was also delegate of the Senate of the Republic of Nigeria at Parliamentary Conferences and Seminars in Birmingham, Djibouti, Kigali, Harare, among others.

She also worked and delivered her polling unit and ward to our President Bola Ahmed Tinubu .

“In as much as her next level of political moves is in the hand of God, no amount of sponsored blackmail can deter her”, they stressed.

According the group, “If given a federal government appointment, Daduut would bring her wealth of experience from the academic sector and key into the great plans President Tinubu has for the country.

The group also lauded President Tinubu’s choice of Service Chiefs, insisting that the appointment of the officers will considerably curb insecurity in the country.
