Group urges political stakeholders to support Power shift to the South.

The Civil Society for Good Governance (CCSGG) has called on political leaders, youths, women and students to support power rotation and shift to the South as it remained necessary towards balancing power in the Country.

The Convener of the Group, Comrade Okpanachi Jacob made the call in Abuja while addressing Newsmen on its planned multi-stakeholders consultation tour under the project: #thenextpresident.

He explained that aim of the tour was to X-ray leadership profiles that would fit into 2023 Presidency thereby providing an open political engagement with with a specific focus on former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Comrade Okpanachi stated that ahead of next year’s election, the Group held series of Town hall meetings, media engagement, Roundtable discourses to adequately sensitize Nigerians on what to look out for in a President.

He said the Group would visit twelve States as a political engagement to review the profile of contending stakeholders especially those interested in the position of President.

He said the Group would visit North Central States such as Kogi, Nasarawa, Kwara, North-East: Borno, Taraba and Bauchi, as well as States in the North-West like: Kano, Kaduna and Sokoto.
