Buhari’s failed visit to Zamfara: Matawallen rallies support for president

President Muhammad Buhari, who was billed to go to Zamfara state on a condolence visit last week, eventually failed to go even after touching down in Sokoto. The sudden suspension of the visit was despite all the necessary arrangement made by the governor of the State.The suspension of the trip to Zamfara, according to the governor, was as a result of the bad whether across the whole northern region of the country.It could be recalled that early this week, the governor of the State, Bello Matawallen Maradun announced to the public that President Muhammad Buhari would arrive the State for condolence over the people killed by bandits, and to sympathise with those who sustained injuries.According to Matawalle, the suspension of the visit does not mean completely he will not come as another day will soon be announced in due course. The government said that people should continue to be more supportive to all the programmes and policies of the government, especially in the area of security
