Ganduje moves to reconcile Uzodimma, Okorocha, before Tinubu in Aso Rock

In apparent attempt to reconcile former Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha with the current Governor, Hope Uzodinma, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, took the two men to see President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja on Thursday.

Okorocha and the incumbent Governor have been at daggers drawn since Uzodimma was affirmed Governor by the Supreme Court in 2020.

The trio were sighted at the Presidential Villa around 6 pm as they headed for the President’s office, though it was not confirmed if they eventually met with him, as they came out son after.

Ganduje, Uzodimma and Okorocha also went to Vice President Kashim Shettima’s office afterwards.

A presidential source said Ganduje may take Uzodimma, who is the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, his estranged party man Okorocha and Governor Sanwo-Olu to the President’s residence.

A Committee set up by the Imo State Government on recovery of public property recently indicted Okorocha and some of his political allies, and recommended that the recovery of some assets believed to belong to government, from them.
