Stakeholders Call For Global Advocacy Against Insurgencies And Terrorism

In a bid to address the complexities of insurgencies, terrorism, and banditry plaguing the nation, the International Human Rights Commission has underscored the imperative of heightened advocacy to safeguard and advance global citizens’ rights.

In a press briefing preceding its international humanitarian law and armed conflict symposium, Ambassador Duru Hezekiah, the head of the diplomatic mission, emphasized that the far-reaching repercussions of these events extend into severe international crises.

Ambassador Duru Hezekiah further emphasized that, in their pursuit of sustainable peace across the nation and the African continent, they firmly advocate for negotiation over protest as the preferred approach.

He went on to explain that the symposium’s core focus is to deliberate on the justification and promotion of humanitarian intervention and peace-building in Africa, especially in nations unfortunately entangled in armed conflicts.
