GPMI applauds Nigerian Military over renewed success in war against bandits, terrorists

…seeks Nigerians’ support for the military

A group, Global Peace Movement International, UK has said the decisive offensives carried out by the Nigerian Armed Forces has brought a lot of relieve to communities that were tormented by activities of the criminals.

In a statement signed by the convener of the group Dr. Mike Uyi pointed out that within the past 3 weeks, the Nigerian Armed Forces have eliminated several commanders of the terrorist and bandits in Zamfara, Sokoto, Niger, Kaduna and along the lake Chad River basins with thousands of them surrendering to the military.

“GPMI has observed with great pleasure, the victories recorded by the Nigerian Armed Forces in the war against insurgency and banditry in the country in the past weeks”, the statement noted.

It commended the focus and determination of the gallant troops, who have decimated the terrorists within these weeks adding that the successes were novel, impressive and unprecedented and urged Nigerians to support the war against insurgency and banditry.

“This victory can’t come without the visionary leadership of the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Christopher Musa who has demonstrated professionalism since his assumption of office”.

Dr. Mike Uyi further tasked the military to sustain and intensify the heat on the terrorist until they are eliminated and peace restored to the affected states.

“We urge Nigerians to continue to support the Armed Forces of Nigeria under the indefatigable Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa. He has a history of success and good relationships with troops during his time as a field officer. With the support of the citizens, much can be achieved. With the excellent human relationship the Chief of Defence Staff has always had with troops in his line of duty, it will get better in terms of welfare for AFN personnel.
