CSO coalition, honours NBS Statistician General at stakeholders summit

A civil society coalition, under the aegis of National Council for Civil Society Organisations (NACCSO), in partnership with Vision One Leadership Development Initiative (VOLDI), has honoured the NBS Statistician General of the federation, Prince Adeyemi Adeniran for his visionary leadership as the helmsman of the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS)

The group took time out to honour Prince Adeniran and other prominent Nigerians during their recent stakeholders summit, held on the 15th of December at the Army Resource Center in Abuja
The event was titled ‘1st National Stakeholders Summit Against the Misconduct and illegal activities of Civil Society Organisations in Nigeria

This maiden event came under the theme, ‘Operating with Integrity and Professionalism for effective Advocacy in Nigeria: The Panace for a New Face of CSOs in Nigeria

The group, led by Comrade Okpanachi Jacob, used the opportunity to admonish their colleagues in the civil society on the true essence of their role in society and how to make integrity their watch word

The award for Prince Adeniran, was received on his behalf by Mr Ichedi Sunday Joel, Director of Communications & Public Relations Department at NBS
Mr Ichedi, in a goodwill message on behalf of his boss appreciated the organisers for the honour and assured them of the continuous cooperation of the NBS in promoting integrity and Professionalism in our society

Other prominent Nigerians that were also honoured are; Director of DSS, Inspector General of Police, permanent Secretary FCT, among others
