Plateau killings: Minister vows to bring perpetrators to book

The Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Muhammed Bello Matawalle has vowed that perpetrators of the recent killings in Bokkos and Barkin- Ladin Local Government Areas of Plateau State would be brought to book.

The Minister stated this when he led a powerful Federal Government delegation to visit and commiserate with the government and people of Plateau State.

Henshaw Ogubike, Director, Information and Public Relations in a press release said Matawalle and Minister of Humanitarian and Poverty Alleviation Dr Betty Edu led the delegation .

Henshaw said Dr. Matawalle, Dr. Edu and the Service Chiefs are in Plateau state as part of the Federal Government delegation.

“The two Ministers with the delegation visited the affected areas of Bokkos and Barkin- Ladin where they held a stakeholders’ meeting with the people of the affected communities.

“They also paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency, Caleb Mutfwang where they held fruitful discussion on how to stamp out insecurity from the State.

“While consoling the people of the affected communities, Dr. Matawalle reassured them of the Federal Government’s commitment to fighting all forms of criminalities that have bedeviled our communities and nation in general.

“Mr. President has directed that we visit you people and to reassure you that Military will restore peace in the affected communities and that the perpetrators of this dastardly act will be arrested,” he said.
