Bandits abduct over 30 persons in FCT

Bandits have abducted over 30 persons in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with several others killed in Suka-Kahuta village on Jere Abuja road.

The incident was said to have occurred on Friday night when the bandits raided the community located near the SCC banana farm on the road.

It was learnt that in one of the affected villages, residents had to pay over N20m before some kidnapped victims were released.”

Eyewitnesses said before the latest attack, the bandits had in an earlier attack, ordered the villagers to leave the community.

According to them, “Over 30 people had been kidnapped from the area, just seven minutes drive from Bwari market in the Federal Capital Territory.

“Several kidnapped victims were killed, and in one of the affected villages, residents had to pay over N20m before some victims were released.”

There had been upsurge in activities of bandits in the FCT with communities being attack frequently.

There was no official response from the FCT Police command as at the time of filling this report.
