Land Grabbing: IGP arraigns Nigerian Senator

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), will today at FCT High Court 50, arraign Sen. Francis Ade Fadehunsi and two others.
They are facing two count charge via Charge No. CR 728/22 of Conspiracy and Criminal trespass.

The matter came up on 30th November for mention but was adjourned till today because the Prosecutor, Rotshang Faith Dimka Esq., was outside the court’s jurisdiction on a training programme organized by the Nigeria Police.  

The Charge reads: That you 1) Frankdiowo Nigeria Ltd ‘C’ of Pent House, Plot 6, Ekukinam Street, Utako District, Abuja, (2) Chief Francis Ade Fadahunsi ‘M’ of No 54 Aswan Street, Wuse, Zone 3, Abuja, and (3) Olaniran Francis Adebayo ‘M’ of Block 5, Flat 10, Bissau Street Zone 6, Wuse, Abuja, sometime in 2018 within the Jurisdiction of this honourable court did conspire amongst yourselves to Trespass at Park No 4359, AO, Park Name: District Park, Location Wuse 1 District, Plot size approximately 1.5 Hectares belonging to Donabi Investment Nigeria Ltd, whose Chairman is Chief Donatus Oguejiofor, of No 510 Olusegun Obansanjo Way, Wuse, Abuja, and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 97 of the Penal Code of Northern Nigeria LFN 2004.COUNT TWO.
That you, 1) Frankdiowo Nigeria Ltd ‘C’ of Pent House, Plot 6, Ekukinam Street, Utako District, Abuja, (2) Chief Francis Ade Fadahunsi ‘M’ of No 54 Aswan Street, Wuse, Zone 3, Abuja and (3) Olaniran Francis Adebayo.

The arraignment earlier slated for 30th November, 2023 was shifted at the instance of the prosecution, vide a letter dated November 29, 2023.
