NYCN Postpones National Management Meeting, Convenes Emergency NEC Meeting In Abuja

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), the umbrella body of all the Youth organizations in Nigeria, has announced the postponement of its National Management meeting earlier scheduled to hold on the 6th March, 2024.

The information for the postponement was made available to the media on Tuesday through a circular signed by the Secretary General of NYCN, Abubakar Suleiman Esq, saying the reason for the postponement was not stated, however, it is believed that it might be in connection with the forthcoming Ramadan and the relative peace that has returned to the organization recently.

In another development, in the same circular the Secretary General, under the instruction of the President of NYCN, Amb. Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo, convened an emergency meeting of the National Executive Council (NEC) of NYCN. This meeting is scheduled to hold on Monday at the National Secretariat of NYCN in Abuja.

“The National President and the Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) uses this medium to officially notify all the members of the National Executive Council (NEC) of NYCN, all the State Chairmen, Heads of all the affiliate Voluntary Youth Organizations (VYOs), members of the National Judicial Council, and the Advisory Council members, that the National Management Committee meeting, scheduled to hold in Lagos from 6th to 9th of March 2024, has been postponed.

He informed that the new date for the National Management Committee meeting will be communicated in due course.

“I am directed by the President of NYCN, Amb. Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo, to use this medium to convene an emergency meeting of the National Executive Council of NYCN, scheduled to hold as follows, Monday, 11th March, 2024. “Venue: NYCN National Secretariat, Abuja by 3pm”.

“Nota Bene: All the members of the National Executive Council of NYCN are expected to be in attendance, as matters of urgent interest will be discussed.
