Monday Sit-At-Home: CP Adeoye seeks synergy with residents

From Isaac Ojo, Awka

The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye, has paid a working visit to the commercial city of Onitsha on Monday during the sit-at-home order observed in the South-East.

During the visit, he emphasized the importance of residents to be law-abiding to maintain a peaceful environment conducive for business activities.

He conducted an on-the-spot assessment of security situation in the commercial city, particularly by engaging with shuttle drivers operating along the Upper Iweka area.

The CP called on the residents to keep supporting law enforcement agencies by providing credible information to combat crimes.

He however urged citizens to remain vigilant and promptly report any criminal activities to the nearest police station.

The Anambra State CP also made public the Command’s Control Room Number, ‘‪07039194332‬,’ even as he encouraged the public to make intelligent information available.

“We need synergy with the public to effectively perform our duties; we should work as allies,” stressed Adeoye, highlighting the importance of a collaborative effort between law enforcement and the community for enhanced security measures.
