The National Examinations Council (NECO) has clarified that there will be no extension to the closing date for the 2024 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) Internal Registration.
NECO said registration for the school-based exam, which began on December 18, 2023, will conclude on June 3, 2024.
A statement signed by Azeez Sani, Acting Director, Directorate of Information and Digital Communication, however, said late registration, incurring an additional fee, will be accepted from June 4 to June 10, 2024.
NECO urges candidates, school principals, commandants, state ministries of education, and other stakeholders to disregard any social media posts claiming an extension until June 20, 2024.
The 2024 SSCE Internal is scheduled to run from June 19 to July 26, 2024, assessing candidates in 76 subjects.
