Lagos Creative Heavyweight Emmanuel Nlemadim Continues to Shape Nollywood and African Television

In an industry where consistency is often as valuable as creativity, Emmanuel Nlemadim, popularly known as Emmanuel Ozzi, has quietly built a reputation as one of Nollywood’s dependable production leaders, contributing to some of Africa’s most successful television and film productions over the past two decades.

A producer, actor, voice artiste and production executive, Nlemadim has spent more than 20 years working across theatre, television and film, earning recognition for his ability to deliver complex productions while maintaining high creative and technical standards.

A graduate of Theatre Arts from the University of Ibadan and an alumnus of the Daystar Leadership Academy, he has become a familiar figure behind many acclaimed productions across the continent.

In 2024, Nlemadim served as Supervising Producer on the Multichoice Talent Factory productions GROWN and HER DARK PAST, while also appearing as an actor in OBI DI OMIMI, OMERA, and the award-winning historical drama THE MAN DIED.

His extensive production résumé includes major projects such as The Voice Africa Season 1, The Voice Nigeria Season 4 (2023), CHIMAMANDA (2023), LEAKED (2022), FATE (2020), and SELL OUT (2021). Earlier in his career, he served as Unit Production Manager on several Africa Magic Original Films and Production Manager on Iroko TV’s TRAPPED (2016), experiences that helped establish him as one of the industry’s trusted production professionals.

Away from the screen, Nlemadim has maintained a strong presence in Nigerian theatre. He has performed with the National Troupe of Nigeria and appeared in acclaimed stage productions including OLURONBI: THE MUSICAL (2008-2010), Death and the King’s Horseman (2019), and NO GREE (2024), reinforcing his reputation as a versatile performer with deep roots in the performing arts.
