Aggrieved Saburi residents in Abuja have tabled hunger case before the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
The residents made their case known to the minister when he visited the area to inspect the ongoing five kilometre road construction, he had awarded in February.
In their separate reactions, when the minister asked them whether they were happy with the project, some concurred while others disagreed, saying there was hunger.
The atmosphere became rowdy but Wike calm down the situation and assured them that better days are ahead.
He told them not to give up on the government, which according to him, was working to renew their hope.
Wike, who urged the residents not to run out of patience, asked the residents if any past minister of the Federal Capital Territory had ever visited them to interface with them? Which they replied no.
However, one of the residents who the minister asked him to talk, said, “We have two major challenges; there is no police station and Primary health care in this community”
Responding, the Minister told them that he will construct police station for them while the chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council, Christopher Maikalangu who accompanied the minister accepted to build a primary health care for the people.
“We will share the projects, AMAC chairman will take Primary HealthCare, I will build a police station for you people “
