The Federal Capital Territory Administration has approved the sum of N1,940,572,410 billion naira for the procurement of five earth moving machines, and N242, 827, 450 million for Microsoft 365 license amounting to N2.183, 399.860 billion.
Announcing the approvals separately after the Federal Capital Territory Executive Committee meeting in Abuja, Wednesday, the coordinator of Abuja Metropolitan Management Council, Felix Obuah told journalists that the N1.9 would be used to purchase SIM card wheel loader, caterpillar wheel loader 950 GC 1, Excavator 320 GS 1, Capiterpillar excavator 323, and Dozar D6 1.
Obuah said the equipment are not targeted for demolition but for the overall interest of AMMC to enable it sustained the city sanitation exercise.
“The equipment we are purchasing with this amount includes SIM card wheel loader, Caterpillar wheel loader 950 GC 1, Excavator 320 GS 1, Caterpillar excavator 323 1, And Dozar D6 D6 1.
“The contract is in favour of Matrak Nigerian Limited, with a due period of three weeks”
While the acting chairman FCT -Internal Revenue Service (FCT -IRS), Michael Ango disclosed that the Committee approved the sum of N242, 827, 450 for the procurement of Microsoft 365 licence
He said, “The FCT is investing significantly in technology that will enhance revenue generation and collection. So this is also one of those investments in technology that the FCT is undertaking. The license we have procured today will enhance our ability to move most of our manual processes into automated processes.
“It will enhance our ability to communicate within our offices, reduce the use of paper, and also ensure that we are able to have better records, store our information, our documents in the cloud. And I believe that this memo, as approved today, will further aid us to generate revenue” Ango said.
