In a resounding show of federal support and political validation, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has stormed Kaduna few hours ago, to commission a string of signature projects executed by Governor Uba Sani, in what many have described as a landmark event that brought the state to a standstill with excitement.
From the bustling streets of Rigachikun to the serene landscapes of Southern Kaduna, the President’s motorcade cut through jubilant crowds and fluttering banners as thousands trooped out to witness the inauguration of long-awaited infrastructure and social investment projects under the Sani administration.
Among the marquee projects commissioned was the state-of-the-art Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development, strategically located in Rigachikun, Soba, and Samaru Kataf. This flagship initiative, according to the Governor, is poised to tackle youth unemployment by equipping thousands with market-ready skills in areas such as agriculture, digital technology, welding, tailoring, carpentry, cosmetology, and renewable energy.
Also commissioned was the newly completed 300-bed Specialist Hospital, designed to radically improve healthcare delivery in the state by offering tertiary medical services that will reduce the burden on over-stretched federal health facilities.
President Tinubu also flagged off the 24-kilometre Kafanchan Township Road, a transformative project that opens up access within the city and reconnects neglected rural communities to urban centres. Equally significant was the commissioning of the reconstructed Tudun Biri Road, a symbol of justice and restitution following the tragic accidental military bombing that claimed scores of lives in 2023. In a gesture of healing, the President laid the foundation for a Vocational and Skills Training Center in Tudun Biri, further deepening the federal government’s commitment to rebuilding affected communities.
The President’s visit also covered the 22-kilometre inter-local government road linking Kauru and Kubau, a once-impassable stretch now turned into a lifeline for farmers, traders, and rural dwellers.
President Tinubu also launched the100 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses newly acquired by the Kaduna State Government to ease the current transportation difficulties and challenging cost-of-living. The buses are expected to revolutionize mass transit within Kaduna metropolis and beyond, offering clean, affordable transportation to the state’s residents.
Speaking at the Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development in Rigachikun, President Tinubu lauded Governor Uba Sani for his foresight, discipline, and people-first approach to governance, describing the projects as “legacy investments that will endure beyond politics.” He commended the Kaduna State Government for aligning with his Renewed Hope Agenda, especially in the areas of human capital development and infrastructure renewal.
In his remarks, Governor Uba Sani described the visit as a “historic vote of confidence” in the Kaduna State Government, pledging to sustain the momentum and deliver on every promise made to the people.
The governor noted that the historic moment belongs to the people of Kaduna. He explained that the projects reflect Kaduna people’s dreams, resilience, and hope. He expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for standing with his administration “in building a state that works for everyone”.
The Senioe Special Assistant to the governor on print media, Nasir Dambatta, told reporters on telephone, after the series of activities that “for many residents, the day was more than a visit — it was a turning point in the state’s development trajectory.”
