Plateau Gov, Mutfwang, hails NSCDC boss, Audi, for performance

Plateau State Governor Caleb Manaseh Mutfwang, has commended the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ahmed Abubakar Audi, for his unwavering commitment to tackling insecurity, particularly in the agricultural sector.

Governor Mutfwang made the commendation during the Passing out Parade of 150 specially trained Agro Rangers Squad at the NSCDC Command and Staff College in Jos, Plateau State. He praised the NSCDC for its dedication, professionalism, and commitment to addressing insecurity, noting that the Corps has been doing a fantastic job in protecting agricultural assets.

The Governor emphasized the importance of protecting farms as critical national assets that contribute to food security. He commended the NSCDC’s Agro-Rangers Unit for reducing farmer-herder conflicts and creating a peaceful atmosphere for farmers to cultivate their crops.

Governor Mutfwang also donated the permanent site for the NSCDC Command and Staff College and pledged to continue collaborating with the Corps to make the environment more habitable.

In his address, Audi charged the officers and men to be professional in carrying out their roles and emphasized the need for synergy among security forces to forestall threats to national security and development.

The training, which lasted for six weeks, comprised various activities, including weapon handling, intelligence gathering, and combat craft. The General Officer Commanding 3 Division, Nigerian Army, and the Commissioner of Police, Plateau State Command, congratulated the Corps on its achievement and assured their commitment to supporting and collaborating with the NSCDC.
