Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the November 8 Anambra election, has appointed Chief Chido Obidiegwu as the Director of Media and Communication of his campaign organisation. Obidiegwu, a seasoned media professional with over three decades of experience, will design and drive a formidable communication strategy to mobilize massive support for the Ukachukwu-Ekwunife governorship ticket.

Chief Obidiegwu is a graduate of History from the University of Benin and holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communication from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He has a proven track record in building brands, shaping narratives, and executing high-impact media campaigns. His experience spans print, broadcast, and integrated marketing communications, making him an ideal candidate for the role.

Obidiegwu has held several notable positions, including: Managing Director of Anambra Broadcasting Service, where he spearheaded the recalibration and rejuvenation of the state-owned radio and television outfit; Pioneer MD/CEO of the Anambra State Clear Drainage and Forest Preservation Agency, where he created the popular TV programme “You and the Environment” and; Senior Special Assistant on Events to former Governor Willie Obiano, where he promoted “Brand Obiano” and projected the policies and achievements of the administration.

Obidiegwu has also had a successful career in the private sector, leading Integrated Marketing Support Services Limited, an integrated marketing communications consultancy with top-tier clientele. He has worked with Minaj Media Group, managing content development and airtime marketing across its broadcast platforms.

The campaign organisation has expressed confidence that Chief Obidiegwu will “build a media powerhouse capable of energizing the grassroots, dominating the airwaves, shaping digital conversations, and ultimately securing the mandate of Ndi Anambra in November.” With Obidiegwu’s appointment, the Ikukuoma-Iyom Campaign is set to unleash a dynamic, people-centered communication strategy that will keep Ndi Anambra at the heart of its message and momentum.
