National Youths Ambassadors Initiative, ANYA, has absolved Alhaji Kashim Imam and Adamu Maina Waziri of moves to rock the boat of the Bauchi State Chapter of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in view of the recent leadership crisis that almost split it into two.
The national convener of ANYA Ahmed Shehu NA-Allah, made this known in a press conference at the Bauchi Council of the NUJ.
The convener opined that allegations and petitions that arose against Imam and Waziri sought to misrepresent their actions in the party.
He stressed that the duo acted in the interest of peace, unity, and institutional stability, convening meetings and encouraging dialogue over confrontation.
Ahmad Shehu NA-Allah who spoke through the North East Zonal Coordinator of ANYA, Barr. Hashim Bala Pali, said that Imam and Waziri acted with the consent of the party’s national chairman, Senator David Mark, emphasizing that the stakeholder’s position aligns with fair hearing and lawful political association principles as enshrined in sections 36 and 40 of the 1999 Constitution.
“The names of Alhaji Kashim Imam and Adamu Maina Waziri have been mentioned in connection with the on going leadership misunderstanding within the Bauchi State Chapter of the ADC. We state categorically that both individuals acted in the interest of peace, unity and institutional stability,” ANYA said.
While accusing Nazif Gamawa and Garba Dahiru Solanke of disrupting the party’s stability, urging action to prevent further conflict, the convener insisted that Kashim Imam’s goodwill and kind gesture went beyond the northern region to across the 36 state party’s structure , making him relevant to the affairs of the Bauchi State ADC membership.
Shehu NA-Allah stated that following the directives of the party’s national chairman and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the existing leadership structure at the local government level should be maintained.
ANYA also used the opportunity to sympathize with families of those affected during the banditry attack in Gwana District, Alkaleri LGA of the state.
