The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has commenced the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for its forthcoming ward, local government, state congresses, and national convention, as the party intensifies preparations for its internal electoral process.
The announcement was contained in a public notice issued from the party’s national headquarters in Abuja and signed by its National Organising Secretary, Chinedu Idigo. The notice invited interested party members seeking elective positions within the ADC structure to obtain the necessary forms ahead of the scheduled exercises.
According to the party, the Expression of Interest Form is pegged at N2,000, while nomination fees vary across different levels and positions. At the ward level, chairmanship aspirants are required to pay N10,000, while those vying for secretary positions will pay N5,000. Other ward offices attract a fee of N3,000 each.
For local government positions, the party fixed the chairmanship form at N40,000, secretary positions at N30,000, and other offices at N10,000 each. At the state level, aspirants for the position of chairman are to pay N500,000, while the secretary position costs N300,000, with other offices pegged at N50,000 each.
The party also disclosed that nomination forms for delegates to the national convention will cost N10,000 per aspirant, noting that each local government area is entitled to one delegate.
In addition, the ADC stated that all aspirants must secure nominators, who are required to pay a non-refundable fee of N500 each. The number of nominators varies depending on the position, ranging from five for some ward offices to as many as 50 for state chairmanship aspirants, with certain positions requiring geographical spread.
The notice further emphasised that all payments, including fees for Expression of Interest, nomination, nominators, and outstanding membership dues, must be made via bank transfer into the party’s designated account. Proof of payment, it added, must be presented during the collection of forms.
Forms are available at the party’s national secretariat and state offices through designated representatives.
The ADC fixed March 27, 2026, as the deadline for the sale and submission of forms, warning that late submissions will not be entertained. Screening of aspirants is scheduled to take place between March 30 and March 31, 2026.
