The Bauchi State PDP governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections, Usman Adamu Ahmed Sufi, has unveiled Alhaji Abdulkadir Alin Bababa as his running mate.
The occasion which took place on Sunday saw to the commissioning of the party’s new secretariat, at Kobi street, performed by the secretary of the Abdulrrahman Mohammed-led faction of the PDP Board of Trustees (BOT), Alhaji Isa Dansidi.
Speaking at the event, Sufi described his emergence as the party’s governorship candidate as Divinely ochestrated and expressed confidence in his ability to lead Bauchi State to greater heights.
While saying that he has continued to have increasing public support and positive signs ahead of the 2027 elections, the PDP gubernatorial candidate added that the calibre of the party’s candidates places it in a strong position to reclaim power across the state.
“I appeal to the people of the state, particularly women and youths, to support the party and it’s candidates. I am optimistic that the party would win the governorship and other elective positions in the 2027 general elections,” he declared.
Also speaking after his unveiling, the party’s deputy governorship candidate, Alhaji Abdulkadir Alin Bababa, pledged to bring to bear his political experience to ensure the party’s victory in the state.
The Bauchi State PDP chairman, Ibrahim Kassim Toro, said that the party is united, formidable and fully prepared for the forthcoming elections, pointing to its strong grassroots presence across the state.
Toro urged party members to intensify grassroots mobilisation through door-to-door campaigns to weap up greater support for the party’s victory in the elections.
Earlier in his remarks while inaugurating the secretariat, the secretary of the PDP BOT, Alhaji Isa Dansidi, said that the turnout of supporters to the event reflected the readiness of Bauchi residents to give the party another opportunity to govern the state in 2027.
“I therefore, call on party members to remain united and committed to the party’s objectives,” he appealed.
