Businessman and Founder of LINK-UP Event Managers, Chidi Nkem-Aruoma, has paid a business and diplomatic visit to Warsaw, Poland, as part of efforts to strengthen economic, educational and investment ties between Nigeria and Poland.
Nkem-Aruoma, who is also co-founder of the Nigeria-Poland Business Future initiative, was received by his European counterpart and fellow co-founder, Maciej Wójcik, during the visit.
The engagement focused on deepening business relations between Nigeria and Poland, exploring investment opportunities and developing partnerships capable of connecting businesses, investors and professionals across both countries.
Nkem-Aruoma represents the Nigeria-Poland Business Future in Africa, while Wójcik represents the initiative in Europe.
Discussions during the meeting also centred on plans to establish a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide a structured framework for cooperation in trade, investment, education, networking and business expansion.
According to Nkem-Aruoma, the initiative is designed to go beyond conventional business transactions by creating sustainable platforms through which individuals, businesses and institutions across Africa, Asia and Europe can collaborate for mutual economic benefit.
He said the proposed partnership would also create opportunities for young Nigerians, particularly youths from Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency of Abia State, to access quality education, vocational training and skills-development programmes.
Nkem-Aruoma described the initiative as part of his contribution to the development of the people of Ikwuano North and Ikwuano South Local Government Areas of Abia State, stressing that equipping young people with relevant skills and knowledge was critical to their future.
The proposed partnership is expected to facilitate greater access to international networks, educational opportunities, manpower development and business connections for young people and entrepreneurs.
The Warsaw engagement is therefore being seen as another step towards building stronger bridges between Africa and Europe while creating platforms through which businesses, educational institutions and young people can access opportunities beyond national borders.
