Knights and Ladies of St. Mulumba in Idah Zone have pledged their prayers and support to Supreme Knight Sir Steve Adehi, SAN, as they seek stronger unity, spiritual growth, charity and service across the Catholic Order.
The Knights and Ladies of St. Mulumba, Idah Zone, have hosted the Supreme Knight of the Knights of St. Mulumba Nigeria, Sir Steve Adehi, SAN, pledging their support for his leadership and vision for the Order.
The reception, held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at St. Christopher’s Catholic Church, Games Village, Abuja, attracted clergy, traditional rulers, senior officers of the Order, dignitaries, friends and well-wishers.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Worthy Brother Abel Ameh, congratulated Adehi on his election as Supreme Knight and prayed for wisdom, strength, good health and divine guidance throughout his tenure.
Delivering the vote of thanks on behalf of the committee and members of the Idah Zone, Ameh described the reception as a celebration of faith, fellowship, brotherhood, leadership and service.
“Today’s gathering is much more than a reception. It is a celebration of faith, fellowship, brotherhood, leadership and service,” he said.
According to him, the gathering demonstrated that the strength of the Knights of St. Mulumba lies in the unity of its members and their collective commitment to serving God and humanity.
Ameh assured the Supreme Knight of the prayers, goodwill and support of members of the Idah Zone as he leads the Catholic Order.
“Worthy Supreme Knight, please be assured of the prayers, goodwill and support of the Knights and Ladies of the Idah Zone as you undertake this important responsibility. We look forward to working with you and supporting the advancement of our beloved Order,” he said.
The committee chairman expressed appreciation to the clergy, leadership of the Order, Knights and Ladies of the Idah Zone at home and in the diaspora, donors, sponsors and well-wishers who contributed to the success of the reception.
He also commended members of the planning, mobilisation, protocol, finance, publicity, logistics, welfare and hospitality committees for their dedication and sacrifices.
Ameh thanked the Parish Priest, management and parishioners of St. Christopher’s Catholic Church for providing the venue and supporting the programme.
He particularly recognised Sir John Umah for initiating the idea of hosting the Supreme Knight and contributing to the successful organisation of the event.
Ameh expressed hope that Adehi’s tenure would usher in greater unity, spiritual development, charity, service and significant progress within the Knights of St. Mulumba Nigeria.
The reception ended with prayers for the Supreme Knight, the Knights and Ladies of St. Mulumba, the Idah Zone and their families, as members renewed their commitment to faith, unity, charity and service.
