Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (rtd.), has led a security inspection of Ranchers Bees Stadium in Kaduna ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign flag-off scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026.
The inspection was aimed at assessing security protocols, crowd management arrangements and venue infrastructure ahead of the rally, which is expected to attract thousands of party leaders, delegates and supporters from across the country.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Special Assistant on Media to the Minister of Defence, Leah Katung-Babatunde, said the inspection formed part of preparations to ensure the safety of attendees and the smooth movement of dignitaries at the event.
Musa, who also serves as Secretary of the APC Presidential Campaign Committee on Intelligence, assured President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the public that Kaduna State was prepared to host the President, party leadership and supporters expected for the campaign flag-off.
His campaign committee role relates to intelligence, while the stadium inspection focused on assessing security arrangements for the rally.
Preparations across Kaduna have reached an advanced stage, with organising committees, security agencies and party officials coordinating logistics and other arrangements for the event.
The rally is expected to mark the commencement of the APC presidential campaign tour across the country ahead of the 2027 general elections.
