Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has honoured the memory of Chief Patrick Adaba, former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, and Dr. Tom Adaba, the inaugural Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), both of whom passed away recently.
During condolence visits to their families in Abuja, Governor Ododo highlighted the brothers’ lasting impact on public service and their remarkable contributions to the progress of Kogi State and Nigeria as a whole.
According to a statement released on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Media, Ismaila Isah, the governor visited the residence of the late Chief Patrick Adaba, acknowledging his dedication and service as Deputy Governor from 1999 to 2003.
Similarly, while paying respects to the family of the late Dr. Tom Adaba, Governor Ododo described him as a visionary figure who paved the way for future media professionals through his pioneering leadership in Nigeria’s broadcasting landscape.
He commended the Adaba family for producing individuals whose commitment to national development and public service remains unforgettable.
Governor Ododo underscored the profound loss felt by Kogi State and Nigeria, emphasizing that the legacy of the Adaba brothers will continue to inspire generations to come.
