Workers Day: You have been exceptional despite daunting challenges, Bishop Onuoha hails workers

A Governorship hopeful under the African Democratic Congress, ADC, and President, Vision Africa International, Bishop Sunday Onuoha has felicitated Nigerian workers on this year’s International Workers Day.

In a goodwill message signed by the vocal cleric on Saturday, made available to journalists, titled, “Nigerian Workers: you have been exceptional despite daunting challenges”, the Methodist Bishop, described Nigerian workers as drivers of the country’s economy.

Dr. Onuoha who is also the Co-chair Interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace, said Nigerian workers have been exceptional in the discharge of their duties, adding that in the midst of harsh economic realities on ground, they have remained unrelenting.

He noted that the Nigerian workforce has exhibited high professional standards, reminding them that these sacrifices would never go unrewarded.

The 2013 Global Peace Award Winner who decried the condition of Nigeria workers in some States of the Federation, urged authorities saddled with the welfare of workers to use the occasion of this year’s International Workers Day to address the concerns of workers.

While felicitating Nigerian workers, the Governorship aspirant enjoined them to be unwavering in the discharge of their duties, expressing optimism that their working condition will change for the better soon.

The good will message reads in part, “I celebrate with you on the occasion of this year’s International Workers Day. You have showcased high professional standards, despite the lime economic realities we have found ourselves in the country. It is my belief and prayer that these sacrifices you have been making all these years will not go unnoticed. God will reward you all in your struggles to make our nation better”.
