Let’s collaborate to improve ICT, Communications Perm Sec Gagare urges agencies

The Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Mr.Nadungu Gagare, has called on agencies under the ministry to strengthen collaboration, align policies, and improve understanding of each other’s operations to improve Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector.

Speaking after a maiden tour of Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NigComsat), Gagare said Nigeria’s digital economy remains central to national growth and global competitiveness.

In a statement issued by the head, Corporate Affairs of the agency, Stephen Kwande, said
“We must continue to work with greater synergy, innovation, professionalism, and accountability in delivering on our mandates.

“The Permanent Secretary emphasized the need for stronger inter-agency collaboration to maximize impact and avoid duplication of efforts”

He also urged staff to remain committed and disciplined in advancing the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda through technology-driven development and improved public service delivery.

Responding, the Managing Director / Chief Executive officer, NigComsat, Mrs. Jane Egerton Idehen, commended the ministry for having interest in developing ICT sector.

She described the tour as a source of encouragement to the management and staff of NIGCOMSAT Ltd.
