From Maurice Okafor, Enugu

The Enugu edition of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) Town Hall Meeting with stakeholders will take place tomorrow, June 3, 2026, at Hotel Presidential, Enugu.

The meeting is part of PEBEC’s nationwide tour aimed at assessing progress on Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) and State Action on Business Enabling Reforms (SABER), identifying challenges affecting business growth, and gathering practical recommendations from stakeholders.

The Enugu State Ministry of Trade, Investment and Industry is partnering with PEBEC to host the engagement.

The Organised Private Sector (OPS) session will bring together business owners, investors, industry leaders, professional bodies, development partners, and heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) for direct engagement with PEBEC and the Enugu State Government.

Speaking ahead of the event, the Enugu State Commissioner for Trade, Investment and Industry, Hon. Sam Ogbu-Nwobodo, said the meeting is important because Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah remains committed to creating the best business environment in the state.

His words: “This engagement with PEBEC and the private sector is critical because reforms must be shaped by the live experiences of those who drive the economy. The feedback we receive will feed directly into policy and regulatory improvements to make Enugu more attractive for investment and enterprise growth.

“The Enugu State Government remains committed to its $30 billion economy vision, with Ease of Doing Business as a key enabler for private sector-led growth”,Dr.Nwobodo stated.
