Police vows to arrest, prosecute hoodlums behind Ebonyi College of Nursing attack

Ebonyi State Police command has vowed to arrest and prosecute all the criminals behind School of Nursing attack, saying that the command has commenced investigation to unravel those behind the crime.

Confirming the incident, the Police PPRO, Joshua Ukandu explained that the attack was carried out by unidentified gunmen by 2:00am where students numbering about 7 Sustained Injuries, while some properties were destroyed.

The Police spokes person said that investigation is ongoing to unravel those behind the attack.

“The attack occurred in the early hours of yesterday,by 2:00am.That was when we received the distress call and our people responded immediately.

“The told us that some boys came to the place to rob them.So the collected their phones and power bank and by the time we got there, they were no longer there.

“About 7 persons injured themselves, but nobody died.

`The ones that sustained injuries were hospitalized in general hospital Ezzamgbo, about 4 of them,while the other 3 were hospitalized in Abakaliki.

“They destroyed the doors and windows that lead to their rooms.

“We are investigating to know those behind the attack.

Recall that police debunked a similar attack at Nguzu Edda where it was alleged that Fulani herdsmen invaded the village.
