The Super Eagles attacker is expected to be sold by Lille in the offseason after enjoying a fine first campaign in France’s Ligue 1.
Osimhen’s form has drawn attention from across Europe as reported by Tribal Football, has revealed that the Blues have put in a bid for the player.
The report claims that Chelsea have not put up a sum of “€85million” – as per some reports claimed recently in Europe.
fThis comes just a week after Lille president Gerard Lopez claimed a €75million offer had arrived from an unnamed suitor.
“The leaders of LOSC would have received an offer from Chelsea for the Nigerian international Osimhen. But the amount advanced of €85m is erroneous and greatly overestimated,” said the report
The 21-year-old striker joined Lille from Belgian side Charleroi in August last year and racked up 13 goals and five assists in 27 Ligue 1 appearances – before the season was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
