Last week defection of Chief Success Obioma Akagburuonye, the 2019 gubernatorial candidate of Action Democratic Party (ADP) with over 5,000 of his supporters to All Progressives Congress (APC) has been described by Imo state Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Iyke Njoku as a political earthquake in the state’s political history.
Njoku, who said this at Restoration Campaign Secretariat,Ogbor Uvuru in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State during the unveiling of Chief Akagburuonye as the State Patron of Onwa Grassroots Mobilizers for Good Goveranace described the former ADO governorship candidate as a political mobilize whose influence in Mbaise c;lan and Imo state in general would be of great advantage to the APC
Earlier, Chief Akagburuonye said he accepted to be the group’s patron and promised to serve with commitment and passion and to support Senator Hope Uzodimma, the Governor of Imo State in his vision and commitment towards providing good and purposeful governance to the populace.
He noted that the mission of the group is not to play politics but to ensure the implementation of the good governance the people deserve.
He pointed out that his essence of joining APC with his teeming supporters is to work with APC elected and appointed leaders in the development and transformation of the state and Nigeria at large, while urging that members of the party should not see him as a threat nor as an opponent.

Akagburuonye, who described Governor Uzodimma as an apostle of good governance, noted that his emergence was divinely driven, saying that God does His things the way it pleases Him and solicited to all to key into his Shared Prosperity and 3R administrative mantra.
