Plateau crisis: Southeast govs urged to evacuate Igbo students

Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC), a socio-cutural organization has asked governors of the southeast zone to immediately evacuate Igbo students from the University of Jos.
This is following the rising tension in Jos.

The apex youth group in Igbo land stressed that the urgency of the security situation in Jos led the Benue and Kogi state governors to evacuate their students in Unijos, hence the need for Southeast and South-south governors to immediately rescue and save the life of the Igbo students studying in the northern institution.

The Igboayaka O. Igboayaka led Ohanaeze Youth Council in a release sent to DAILY POST on Sunday, revealed that it was now obvious that the Fulani herdsmen had declared war against all other ethnic nationalities in Nigeria.

According to the OYC, “the Fulani herdsmen terrorising the inhabitants of Jos and other ethnic nationality are not standing alone, it is a calculated state crime against Nigerians.”

The Igbo youths further lamented at the unwarranted silence of Engr. David Umahi-led Southeast Governors’ Forum on the inhumane activities of the dreaded Fulani herdsmen in Jos in the past two days.

“Since two days Fulani herdmen have gone on killing rampage against other ethnic nationalities in Jos, Plateau State,” Igboayaka claimed.

He called on the governors to evacuate Southeast students in the University.
