Ten of the 21 Baptist High School students,Kaduna, kidnapped by bandits regain freedom

Ten out of the 21students of Damishi Baptist High school, Kaduna, kidnapped by bandits, on Sunday,regained their freedom. The students were released this afternoon and havesince been returned to their parents.

The state Chairman ofthe Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. John Joseph Hayab, told DAILYPOST that the remaining 11 students are still in the hands of the bandits.

He said, “We are stillpleading with the bandits to please have mercy on the students and the parentsto release the students for them to be reunited with their parents and for theparents to have peace in their hearts.

“The trauma that boththe abducted students and the parents have gone through for about three monthsis so devastating and hope the bandits will please see reasons to release thestudents to their parents.”

He thanked have allNigerians for their prayers and support and expressed confidence that theprayers of his children would not go in vain, calling on Nigerians to continueto pray for the release of those in captivity.
