Kano Govt. Approves N12.5 Million For Repair Of Girl-child School Buses

Kano state Government has approved the release of N12.5 Million for the repairs and overhaul of Girls Child initiative buses to enhance transportation of primary and secondary school girls to and from schools across the state.


According to a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the state Ministry of Education,  Aliyu Yusuf, the approval followed a submission made by the state Commissioner of Education, Malam Muhammad Sanusi Sa’id Kiru to the state executive council on the issue.


The statement added that: “Making the disclosure, the Commissioner said that the repairs and overhauling of the bus is aimed at boosting the transportation needs of the Girl Child to and from their schools across the metropolitan areas of the state.”

According to him, the gesture was part of the commitment been displayed by Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in supporting Girl Child education in the state.


He however urged both the drivers of the buses and the students to make judicious use of the kind gesture so that even the next generation will benefit.


The Commissioner also reiterate his determination to continue to do anything within his capability in ensuring that Education has moved to a greater height in the state.
