Plateau ex-council chairmen, over 12, 000 others dump APC for PDP

Two former Transition Committee chairmen of Langtang South LGA under the Governor Simon Lalong led APC administration in Plateau State, Hon. Rims Nimchak and Hon. Nanzing Saure and over 12, 000 of their supporters have dumped the broom and taking shelter under the umbrella of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at a mega rally held and the Council headquarters Mabudi.

Speaking at the rally member representing Langtang North/Langtang South in the House of Representatives, Hon. Beni Lar, said PDP is a large family with human oriented manifesto and indeed the greatest political.party in Africa.

Lar said, PDP is a party that believes in and implement democratic tenets which has given rise to the popular slogans “Power to the People”.

She added that, the party has opened her door wide for any person who wants to return and today over 12, 000 returness have taken a bold step in the right direction.

The Lawmaker added it is now the right time for them to come together and rebuild their house.

Adding that with God on their side the party will have resounding victories all over the country come 2023 especially in Plateau State.

Recieving the decampees, the chairman of the PDP in the State, Hon. Chris Hassan, said the mega rally was a pointer that Plateau is the home of PDP and come next year general elections his party will sweep the State.

Hassan who was represented by Vice Chairman of the party in the Plateau Southern zone, Hon. Simon Domle, said from now on the party will be receiving decampees from the wards, local governments and at the State level saying PDP in the Plateau remains the party to beat.

Also speaking, the immediate past chairman of APC in the State, who recently dumped the party for PDP, Hon. Latep Dabang, said, “PDP is doing very well judging from the recent outing of the party in the Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency and Pankshin South State Constituency bye elections.

According him, “Hon. Beni Lar has done well in Langtang North/South federal constituency.

“Iam going tell my younger brother Governor Lalong in Ajikamai that Shendam LGA is already PDP”, he maintained.

Dabang added, “I will also cage one small boy making noise in Kanam LGA”.

In is remarks, the chairman of Langtang North LGA, Hon. Joshua Laven, said he was very excited to welcome his brothers and sisters, to the home of the founding father of PDP, late Chief Solomon Daushep Lar.

The mega rally tagged: the Great Movement which was held at the Mabudi Central field had in attendance the Plateau South zonal PDP chairman Hon. SImon Domle, State Organising Secretary, Hon. Yakubu Chocho and the Publicity Secretary, Sir John Akans and host of others graced the Mabudi rally.
