Group lauds COAS, Nigerian Army over efforts on the war against insurgency

… Warns bandits to lay down arms and surrender

In recognition of their unwavering sacrifices in flushing away Boko Haram terrorists, Bandits and forms of criminal elements, the Global Peace Movement International, UK (GPMI) has recommended special national honours for the Nigerian Army Troops, especially the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Yahaya Faruk.

The group made this recommendation in a press statement signed by the President General, Dr. Mike Uyi in London on Saturday hailing the Chief of Army Staff for turning the tide since taking over the helms of affairs.

GPMI reckoned that the serenity, bravery, sacrifices and efforts of the Nigerian Army and its leadership cannot be swept under the carpet.

According to Dr. Uyi, the Army have sacrificed enough that they are by this statement warning all the criminals in the name of either Boko Haram or bandits to respect themselves and lay down their arms and surrender, because in no time there will be a final crush on them and their sponsors.

“There is no element of doubt whatsoever as regards the strength, capacity and professionalism of the Nigerian Army to deal decisively with these terrorists group, the leadership of the Army is fully ready to deal with anyone cut”.

“Some of the personnel have paid the supreme sacrifice, we say enough is enough and GPMI is calling on all the critical stake holders to come together to assist the Nigerian Army to succeed in the fight against all the different insecurity that id dragging Nigeria backward, security is everyone’s business”
