The gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party in Plateau State Chief Yohanna Margif has denied reports making rounds that he is considering trading his ticket for a huge amount of money to some aggrieve APC and PDP aspirants.

Margif in a press statement made available to journalists in Jos the State Capital, described the rumours as “fake news and untrue fabrications” aimed at confusing the electorate.

It reads: “There are reports making rounds that I Yohanna Margif, the Labour Party’s governorship candidate is planning to trade the party’s ticket for money from some aggrieve aspirants of the ruling APC and PDP in Plateau State.

“I will like to state clearly that I have no such plans, and will not jettison the mandate given to me for money, because our party’s target is to clinch the number one seat, come 2023.

“Again, we know why all these rumours are been peddled, its because of our our rising political influence and that of the Labour Party in the State”, he maintained.

While calling for peace, love and unity in the State, Margif appreciated the citizenry for their love and unflinching support for his candidature ahead of the 2023 election.

He admonished citizens to continue to pray for the State and offer supplications to God for devine intervention in the affairs of the state, particularly now that political activities are gearing up.

He described himself as the obedient servant of the State, saying, “I have the intellectual capacity and every experience needed to do what is expected of a servant to pilot the affairs of this State.

Margif noted that, “Labour Party is sent by God to restore the lost glory of Plateau and Nigeria, and call on all citizens who are 18 years and above without voters card to take advantage of the extension of the ongoing voters registration by the electoral empire (INEC) so that they can be part of the revolution about to take place in Plateau and Nigeria come 2023.
