2023: LP debunk rift between Obi and Utomi

…Issues quit notice to APC

By Myke Uzendu, Abuja

Labour Party has described the publication purporting rift between its Presidential Candidate Peter Obi and Prof. Pat Utomi over the control of campaign fund as an epistle of bitterness by agent of the grossly incompetent APC led administration.

News had it that there were squabbles by the duo over who should be in charge of campaign funds as Prof. Utomi’s distrust for Benji Uba, prompted the creation of an alternative fund-raising platform, “tagged” FUND40MB, as inaugurated recently by Prof Pat Utomi.

But National Publicity Secretary of the party, Comrade Arabambi Abayomi in a statement on Wednesday stated that attacked was launched by agents, miscreants, misfits and political characters loyal APC led administration to create the impression that the party which has become the bride of Nigerian is already tainted with corruption.

The party said that the tasked of rescuing the country and its people from the hand of oppressors, economy strangulators and decimators is the party’s present pre-occupation just as it advised the outgoing APC administration to prepare its hand over note to the incoming president Mr. Peter   Gregory Obi come may 29th 2023 rather engaging miscreants to peddle rumors that has no source.

He said that ordinarily, Labour Party wouldn’t have dignified the false publication lace with deliberate falsehood with a response but for the benefit of the few in the public who may innocently be mis-informed by the false publication.

He described the author of the write-up as “ethically rusty and morally depraved social misfit and miscreants known as “Unknown Source” who claimed that allies of the Presidential Candidate of the Party, Mr. Peter Obi, have sidelined the National Chairman of the Labour Party, Barr. Julius Abure, and Professor Pat Utomi, who were earlier listed as signatories to the Labour Party’s campaign donation account which necessitated one Benji Uba, who is a loyal ally of Peter Obi, to forced his hand as the only signatory to the account, which has raised concerns of unrest within the party”.

The statement affirmed that “the National Chairman of LP Bar Julius Abure, Obi and Prof. Pat Utomi are one united, indivisible political families that enjoys cordial relationship that aimed to extinct the present clueless administration of President Buhari led APC and confine them to dust bin of history”.

According to him, there was never a time Bar Abure convened a meeting of the National Working committee or National Executive Council where the formation of Peter obi/Datti Campaign Council would be formally discussed before their inauguration. He added, “there was never any Labour Party’s campaign donation account in existence nor an alternative fund-raising platform, tagged FUND40MB that was known to Labour party

“Mr. Peter Obi has never instigated any war through proxies in Labour party as he was busy with how to fixed Nigeria from a consuming Nation to a productive one where Nigerians will take back their country from the present administration that has put our country on Autopilot”.

He said that the epistle of calumny is a manifestation that the author substantially lacks the capacity to correctly understand the complexities in rational thinking needed to be a responsible public commentator.

“Such an unintelligent epistle usually comes from a programed puppet with a wholesome bitter and ignorant mind that is poisonous to the society because on what basis did he arrive at this warped opinion. People like this unintelligent fellow wanting to re – write history are cancers that should be completely isolated in any decent Society.

“Labour Party National Chairman Bar Julius Abure, our President Candidate Mr Peter Obi and Prof Pat Utomi are already in the class of responsible and reliable leaders who will not only take the people to where they want to go but far much further to where they don’t know they have to be, but ought to be”.
