AMAC chairman hails Candido’s  appointment as transportation secretary

The chairman Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Christopher Maikakalangu  has congratulated his predecessor, Abdullahi Adamu Candido on  his appointment as the Mandate Secretary for FCT Transportation Secretariat, by the minister.

In a statement issued on Thursday by the chairman’s media aide, Kinsley Madaki, said Candido’s contributions to the council and FCT in general made the residents proud of him.

According to the statement,“It is a well-deserved appointment for FCT residents, considering his monumental contributions in repositioning the territory as well as the political structure”

Maikalangu noted that his predecessor’s  outstanding performance in his party led to his appointment as FCT Mandate Secretary.

He further noted that with his caliber of person, residents especially in the satellite towns should be expecting rapid development 

The council boss, further maintained that with his wealth of experience and full knowledge of FCT politics, there is no doubt he will work perfectly with the FCT Minister to enable him to consolidate on his numerous achievements in his first tenure.

He appealed to the newly appointed Mandate Secretary to work out modalities to tackle transport-related issues in the territory and also be open to new ideas that will reduce the suffering of the residents.

The statement said that issues affecting  transportation sector may receive urgent attention since Candido is not new to the system.
