The forthcoming Agbaja Summit, had received a huge morale booster with the Deputy Governor of Enugu State, Barr. (Nono) Cecilia Ezeilo, lending her support during and after the summit.

The Deputy Governor spoke during the visit of a delegation of the Planning Committee comprising of Ozo Ferdinand Anikwe, Bro. Ugochukwu Chime, Mr. Sheddy Ozoene, Barr. Ricky Agu and Prof. Ike Oluka at her residence at Government House, Enugu on Monday.

She eulogised the initiative behind the summit, pointing out that it was a clear indication that Enugu indigenes have men and women with outstanding stature who have the capacity to think outside the box and attract both national and Diaspora investments into the state.

She noted that with the positive impacts expected from the summit, the state would no doubt benefit positively, promising to host a Gala night to bring the Summit to a close.

She reiterated the assurances earlier made by the state Governor, Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, when the summit planning Committee visited him, assuring that as an Agbaja woman herself, she would not shirk on her support towards the success of the summit.

The two-day Summit billed to take-off on November 2nd, will feature activities such as: Investment Summit, Cultural Carnival and Awards as well as exhibition and shows.

Already, the planning committee had embarked on intensive community mobilization, during which they interacted with the Chairmen of Udi and Ezeagu Local Government Areas, the Deputy Chairman of Enugu-North LGA, as well as the Coordinating Presidents-General of Udi and Ezeagu LGAs.

As part of efforts to deepen the outcomes of the summit, a database has been established for Agbaja people to capture their individual details, their communities, locations, landmarks, etc, at home and in the Diaspora.
