…SWAN National President, Now Chairman

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has passed a new law reducing the status of National President of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) to chairman.
The law was passed on Thursday during a Constitution review session at the NUJ Special Delegates Conference holding at Afficent Event Center, Kano.
The Special Conference presided over by the National President of the union, Chief Chris Isiguzo , when amending article 9 of the NUJ Constitution resolved for an inclusion that a new clause that states that any SWAN election not supervised by NUJ henceforth remains null and void.
More so, there is a provision for a new clause inserted that states that the National Presdent of SWAN should now be addressed as National Chairman.
