NPFL finest Rangers N1m for unruly conduct

The Nigeria Premier Football League has fined Rangers Football club for breaching its Rules.

The club was fined N1m for violent conduct. During the match at Abia Warriors on Sunday, November 25, it is alleged some officials of Rangers brought the game to disrepute following their violent reaction to provocation from the home team (Abia Warriors), which is an act of misconduct under NPFL rules.

Apart from the fine of N1 million, Rangers have also been ordered to identify and produce the officials involved in the act of misconduct for further sanctions.

The Enugu club have been warned that a repetition of the same act of misconduct will result in severe sanctions.

The NPFL said Rangers have 48 hours from the date of notice to appeal or accept the sanctions.
