Ohueje Ohinoyi Celebrates Ado Ibrahim at 94

As the palace of Ohinoyi of Ebira land celebrate His Royal Majesty, Dr. Ado Ibrahim at 94th, an emerging leading tourist organization, Ohueje Ohinoyi festival felicitates with the king and the palace.

According to the organisers of the festival, led by Tijani Adinoyi Sheidu, while congratulating the Ohinoyi on his birthday, the peace enjoyed under reign of Dr Ibrahim in Ebiraland is a thing of joy to all and sundry in the land that cannot be taken for granted.

He noted how Ohueje Ohinoyi festival has enjoyed tremendous support from the palace of Ohinoyi of Ebira land, whom the festival, Ohueje Ohinoyi is named after, saying that the annual festival is the biggest beneficiary of his leadership and reign.

Ibrahim who is the vice president, Kogi State Council of Chiefs and North Central Coordinator, Northern Traditional Rulers Council of Nigeria ( NTRCN), was installed as the Paramount ruler of Ebira people in 1997 after the demise of late Ohinoyi, Alh. Sani Omolori, one of the oldest traditional rulers in the country then, who spent 26 years on the throne.

While congratulating His Majesty on his birthday and praying God Almighty grant him good health on the throne, Sheidu noted that the Ohinoyi’s his reign has brought so many blessings and development to the land.

“The popular festival, Ohueje Ohinoyi that has become the fastest growing festival today was conceived in his time. It is not an exaggeration that the festival has attracted attention of Ebiras and tourists from all over country due to the perfect collaboration between the government and private sectors.

“The festival has become a source of employment for the women and youths across Kogi central, with most companies coming to showcase their products at the ground. The previous edition witnessed one hundred women drawn from various parts of Kogi central participated in loom competition, which showcased our people’s talents in weaving local fabric. All these were made possible by the quality leadership and support of our Ohinoyi”.

Sheidu also noted that this year’s Ohueje Ohinoyi festival that was slated to come up in March has been shifted to the month of June, due the ongoing political activities across the country.

“As a responsible organization like ours, national interest must be given priority in our activities, Sheidu added.
