TRCN to deploy JAMB’s CBT facilities for professional qualifying exam, training programmes

The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, TRCN, has struck a deal with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, on the use of the newly built 1,000-seat capacity Computer-Based Test, CBT, facilities in Kaduna for conduct of teacher’s professional qualifying exam.

The move, which will also see to teachers’ digital training programmes taking place in the JAMB-owned facilities, was announced in a statement by the Registrar of TRCN, Prof Josiah Ajiboye.

Ajiboye said the deal was put in place in the spirit of inter-agency partnership in the Federal Ministry of Education, adding that it would boost service delivery to Nigerians.

On Monday, Ajiboye joined the Registrar of JAMB, Prof Ishaq Oloyede, in inspecting the new CBT facilities built by JAMB in Kaduna metropolis.

According to Ajiboye, the new 1000-seat capacity CBT centre was recently commissioned by the immediate past Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El Rufai.

“Each of the CBT hall has a withholding room that can seat 250 candidates at a time and the centre has a big parking lot that can accommodate hundreds of cars,” he said.
