Gov Mbah seeks Public, Private Partnership to unbundle Enugu economy.

A round table economic conference,the first of it’s kind organised by the present administration in Enugu state led by Governor Peter Mbah, will hold today friday, September 1.

The conference with theme”Leevaraging Public, Private Participation(PPP) is an initiative of Governor Mbah administration to unlock the various economic potentials of the state in the government’s bid to grow the Gross domestic product(GDP) of the state from it’s current stand of 4.4 billion dollars to 30 billion dollars before the end of this administration.

Mbah is also strategizing to stir agricultural revolution in Enugu state,with a plan of establishing three mechanised agricultural farms,one at each senatorial zone of the state.

Notedly,Enugu state is blessed with huge and virgin land mass veritable for agriculture,which has remained unharnessed.

The state is also blessed with natural deposits like coal,limestone and abundant Palm products which were explored in times past and added to the growth of the defunct Eastern region economy.

Under the policy of ‘Disruptive Innovation’ Governor Mbah hopes to attract private and foreign investors to unbundle most of Enugu state untapped economic potentials.

It was gathered that an economic team from the World bank and African Development Bank are among the investors expected at the conference.
