The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency of Taraba State in the 2027 general elections, Alhaji Mukhtar Galadima, has unveiled a development roadmap focused on improving healthcare, completing abandoned projects and promoting economic growth across the constituency.
Galadima unveiled the roadmap on Thursday while announcing the official commencement of his campaign activities.
He said his agenda was anchored on healthcare, agriculture and the promotion of unity among constituents, stressing the need for a people-oriented legislative representation.
The PDP candidate pledged to champion legislative initiatives aimed at facilitating the completion of the Ibi Bridge project, which was awarded in 2020 but remains uncompleted.
He also promised to strengthen community security through an inclusive approach that would localise security frameworks and enable communities to respond effectively to emerging threats affecting residents, farmers and businesses.
Galadima further pledged to support policies that would increase youth participation in the digital economy, create incentives for small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs), and stimulate local economic growth.
He said his campaign would prioritise issues capable of improving the living conditions of constituents while fostering sustainable development across Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency.
“By the grace of God, we will ensure that there is peace, unity and stability in our area. We will also focus on empowering our youth and women, as well as creating opportunities for employment.
“Through legislation and collaboration, we will also work to provide affordable healthcare for our people. As he mentioned, our area is facing serious infrastructural deficits. All the roads leading to Southern Taraba are in poor condition. From the Plateau State axis, it is the same situation, and from other parts of the state, the challenges are also similar.
“Our vision is to improve the living conditions of our people through effective legislation. We will also work to strengthen peace and stability in the area through legislation, dialogue and collaboration.
“Yes, we are not executives; we are legislators. But, by the grace of God, through dialogue, collaboration, consultation and cooperation, we can attract development to our area and improve the lives of our people” Galadima said.
