Coach Eugene Agagbe is Lobi Stars new Technical Adviser

Lobi stars football club has unveiled a new Technical Adviser for the team. He is Coach Eugene Agagbe.

Coach Agagbe was unveiled Monday by Lobi stars’ Vice Chaiman, Dominic Iorfa at the Macarthy stadium Makurdi. He takes over from Coach Mohammed who refused to start the league season with the Pride of Benue, and left unceremoniously.

The new technical head who was in the hot seat in the team’s first two matches at commencement of the season, was also various times in charge of the youths teams of Lobi stars. He is a CAF B licence coach and Chairman of the Benue state branch of Football Coaches Association.

Mr. Dominic Iorfa, while updating the media on the recent happenings in Lobi stars said, his mission to the club was to rescue it from relegation, and the state from shame.

“I came to this assignment impassioned and has prosecuted so far, every segment of my job with the same commitment. I am mindful of the allegations against me by those who do not wish both Lobi stars football club and the state well. I am however, not deterred by the baseless accusations”, Iorfa said.

The Lobi Stars Vice Chairman pointed out that, “it is in keeping with my commitment to improving the team that we found it necessary to effect the following changes; the appointment of Coach Eugene Agagbe to take charge as the Technical Adviser/Chief Coach, Mr. Odeh Ogah as the Acting Team Manager and former Nigerian international, Mr. Felix Pilakyaa as the team’s Acting welfare Officer”.

Iorfa who said the new Coach who was serving in interim capacity has proven he could be trusted with the responsibility, said, “the management is satisfied with what Coach Agagbe has put forward so far”.

Coach Agagbe who pledged to work hard to ensure Lobi Stars’ success at the end of the season said, “I will work to end the season among the top three teams on the log and a possible continental ticket”.
