IGP bans Ebubeagu security personnels  in Imo

Barely three days to the Imo State off circle gubernatorial election, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, has expressly banned the Ebubeagu security outfit in Imo State.

He also placed restriction on vehicular movement, as well as movement of canoe, barges, small and large canoes and other means of transportation via waterways in Imo, Kogi and Bayelsa states ahead of the Saturday’s, November 11th guber polls.

Egbetokun said the decision was to support the measures put in place to ensure free, fair and credible elections in the three states.

The IGP, disclosed this  on Tuesday while briefing the press just as he revealed  that both marine and gunboats have been deployed in the three States considering the riverine terrain of the States.
