Northern group accuses Hakeem Baba Ahmed of undermining Tinubu’s govt

The Northern Stakeholders Consultative Forum (NSCF) has accused Dr. Hakeem Baba Ahmed of allegedly operating as a mole within the office of the Vice President with the intention of undermining the government of President Bola Tinubu.

The Northern group, in a statement issued by its spokesperson, Comrade Daniel Yakubu, alleged that  Baba Ahmed has a history of working for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against the ideals of Tinubu’s presidency.

NSCF therefore challenged Baba Ahmed, who is a presidential aide in the office of the Vice President, to openly voice his support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) to prove his loyalty to the governing party.

The group, which lashed out at the alleged disloyalty, ungratefulness, and unreliability of Baba Ahmed, called on the Kaduna-born presidential aide to clarify his position within the political landscape.

The NSCF also demanded an immediate investigation into Ahmed’s activities within the Vice President’s office to ascertain if he is indeed working against the government of Tinubu.

Yakubu said: “President Tinubu must remain vigilant and cautious in his dealings with individuals who have a history of working against his interests. It is important for him to remember that Hakeem Baba-Ahmed was actively involved in the Peoples Democratic Party and has worked against his 2023 election victory.

“As such, Tinubu must not be deceived by the tactics of these individuals, who are indirectly working to undermine his prospects for the 2027 election under the guise of fighting against Matawalle.”

The group also cautioned the Tinubu government on dealings with businesswoman Saadatu Ramalan-Yaro, who it said happened to be the daughter of the chairman of the APC Akida, Tijjani Ramalan, claiming that she was allegedly implicated in the alleged pillage of the nation’s resources under Godwin Emefiele.

“President Tinubu must take this information into consideration when making decisions regarding the individuals pretending to be his friends,” Yakubu said.

The group urged the APC leadership to take swift action against any government appointee found guilty of sabotaging the party’s efforts towards achieving its goals.

NSCF also called on Northern leaders to be vigilant and watchful of individuals who may be working against the interests of the region, particularly those with a history of double standards.

He added, “It is vital for President Tinubu to exercise caution and discernment in his dealings with individuals who may have ulterior motives. By remaining vigilant and informed, he can protect his interests and ensure the success of his upcoming election campaigns.

“The organization reaffirmed its commitment to supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his government in their efforts towards building a better Nigeria for all citizens.”
